It depends. in the past, all drug test except for specialty ones only detected natural opiates (morphine, codeine, and things that breakdown into morphine or codeine like heroin). Now some, detect those and semisynthetic opiates like oxycodone (oxycontin/percoset), hydrocodone (vicodin), etc. Fentanyl is fully synthetic (it is chemically very different even though it does almost the same thing as morphine). If you know the brand and type of test, you can probably find out on the manufacturer's website. I would guess that it doesn't though. All on-site tests, or laboratory screens should be confirmed via GC/MS or LC/MS/MS to assure the highest accuracy possible.
