What do hunters use elephants tusks for?

They use their trunks to drink water, lift logs out of the way, and communicate with members of their herd.

Also ...

They can

• ... pick up tiny things with it. The end has one or two movable parts, like fingers!
• ... breathe through it and smell things with it. A trunk is an elephant's nose!
  

They don't actually drink through their trunks. Elephant suck up water with their trunks, then squirt it into their mouths.

They also wash themselves this way; it's their own personal shower! Some elephants can give themselves a dust bath this way too.
