If you don't know whether there is asbesos-containing material on your property, or where it is, the way to find it is to hire a qualified specialist to survey the property, and to collect samples of suspect materials and have them analyzed. If you are not trained in the procedure and try to collect the samples yourself, you may end up spreading asbestos around your property and contaminating it much more than it was. In addition, without adequate training you may well overlook materials that actually do contain asbestos.
