The homosphere is divided into three main layers: the troposphere, stratosphere, and mesosphere. The troposphere extends from the Earth's surface to about 8-15 kilometers and is where weather occurs. Above it, the stratosphere stretches to about 50 kilometers and contains the ozone layer, which absorbs UV radiation. The mesosphere follows, reaching up to about 85 kilometers, where temperatures decrease with altitude.
