What is the meaning and origin of the girls name Tenaya?

i have heard a few different meanings. My name is Tenaya and i have always been told it means "great leader" coming from chief Tenaya of the awaneechee tribe in yosemite valley. yet now when i have found more information on it, i find that some believe it means "golden demon" which is what this tribe referred to as the bob cat.

I was told by Tenaya Lodge that it means "to dream" which is very appropriate since I have always considered myself a dreamer.
