Cook frozen beef patties (Hamburgers) in the Ronco Showtime Rotisserie Oven for at least 20 minutes for a fully cooked, juicy burger (no pink). 30 minutes will give you well done and kinda dry, depending on the thickness of the burger. I used the 1/4 lb frozen patties and 20 min. was perfect.
*Make sure the basket is closed tightly on the burgers to make sure they don't shift during cooking.
*You can pour some water in the drip tray to make cleanup easier, and to produce a little extra steam/heat for the burgers. Smells great too!
*Be sure to soak the basket, spit rods, drip tray, and glass door in hot soapy water immediately after cooking to make sure the stains don't harden. Makes cleanup so much easier. I've had my Showtime for over 10 years now and it still looks and cooks great.
*If using fresh ground beef, make sure you press the burgers tightly using a burger press or the beef could come apart while cooking in the Showtime.
I made hamburgers from fresh ground beef with red peppers and an executive chef for NBC studiOS in NYC told me they were the BEST burgers he had ever tasted! You can also season fresh ground beef yourself with some salt and pepper, and freeze them for use later.
