What would be some of the advantages disadvantages of living in an 'old society'?

The advantage of living in an old society is that business markets will benefit because of economic power and creating more jobs. The disadvantage of living in an old society is that people longevity is a longer life they will live and that older people will have to be taken care of which causes a burden on their families.
