What are some solutions to bullying?

The solution is too avoid them, but if it does not work then if they say anything to mean you, don't react to it. In a couple of days, they will get tired of it, and stop.

I'm sorry its nowhere near that simple. I was bullied all 12 years of school and I tried that and everything else I could (reporting it to my parents, reporting it to teachers, physically fighting back, being completely passive and letting them torment me hoping they would get bored and quit, etc.) nothing worked in my case.

Personally I think lawsuits and criminal prosecution of some of the bully's parents may eventually be necessary.
