What does enthnocentricism mean?

It is being so wrapped up in your own culture that you are oblivious to the existence of other cultural norms. An example was when someone defined the Word "foreign" as "not American". The person was so wrapped up in American culture he failed to realize that to non-Americans, Americans are foreign.
