Is there a royal family in turkey?

Turkey went republican under the Dictatorship of Mustapha Kemal Ataturk, a former Army Officer- so it was something of a Garrison Republic.- but a republic and not a monarchy. Under the empire it was the Ottoman Dynasty- term does not refer to a type of sofa- here. Turkey- not to shake things up ( I admit a horrrible pun- Quake damage- is still a Republic and the only Moslem nation in (partly) Europe.
