Accuracy of probability increases with the number of attempts. Assuming 10% to be a good estimate then: The probability of making the shot on the first try is .1 or 10%. For 2 completions in a row the probability drops to: .1 x .1 or .01 or 1% (You will miss 99% of attempts). For 3 in a row the probability drops to: .1 x .1 x .1 or .001 (You will miss 99.9% of your attempts. Like anything else, the more you train the better adapted you become.
