How does Make A Wish put a smile on ill children's faces?

The Make A Wish foundation grates wishes to terminally ill children. It may be meeting a famous athlete, going to Disney World, or going to see a national landmark. These children usually don't have much hope, and parent's of terminally ill children usually don't have the means to splurge on these items.
