I guess you could say that the 6 major Greek gods/goddesses were the six children of Kronos and Rhea (though some are not Olympians):
- Zeus, god of the sky, was the king of the gods. He had power over the air and lightning.
- Hera, goddess of marriage, was the queen of the gods and wife of her brother Zeus. She had power over women and marriage.
- Poseidon, god of the sea, was Zeus' brother. He had power over water, horses, and earthquakes, hurricanes, etc.
- Hades, god of the Underworld, was also Zeus' brother. He wasn't an Olympian, but rather spent his time in the Underworld, and had power of all underground jewels.
- Demeter, goddess of agriculture, was Zeus' sister. She had power over grain, such as wheat, and took care of the harvest.
- Hestia, goddess of the hearth, was also Zeus' sister. She was not an Olympian, but was known for her kindness and gentleness. She had power over the fire at the hearth, and protected homes.
