Balanced diet: A number of nutrients are required for the growth and upkeep of healthy bones. These include calcium, vitamin D, phosphorous, magnesium and protein. Therefore, a balanced diet is essential since it is the diet most likely to provide all the needed protein and minerals.

Regular exercise:

The body reacts when stress is put on the bones (such as through exercise). Part of the reaction includes fortifying the bones that were active. The exercise must be regular since the bones are strengthened gradually.
