If you have a boy dog should you get another boy or a girl?

It is understood that males don't get along with male puppies and females don't get along with female puppies, but that isn't always the case if you introduce the two early. It also depends on the breed as some breeds are not to keen on same sex offspring because they are protective of their territory.
