How much money does a patient care tech get paid in Texas?

At Baptist Health Systems hospitals (St Lukes etc), they start you off at 9.75 an hour.

After about a year, they bump you up to where you earn 10.25

Not very much for all the hard work you have to do and 12 1/2 hour shifts.
