How did Christianity expect to achieve peace in the world?

According to scripture, Christianity will not bring peace to the world. The world system will never be at peace with God's way. One day soon, the world will get so bad that a ruler, known in the Bible as the anti-Christ, will rise up and establish a one world government. The world will go to war over this and eventually Jesus will return to end that war and establish God's kingdom on Earth.
