What causes high erratic idle in 2.4 2004 frontier?

First guess would be the throttle position sensor. Easy to replace. Other possibilities: Bad MAF sensor, EGR valve. Go to AutoZone and have them put their computer on it and give you a code. Won't cost a thing. Look up code on the net and see if you can narrow it down. Good luck.
