Did King Arthur believe in God?

There is no historical proof of a "King Arthur" but there is historical proof of a great warrior that matches Arthur's supposed description but no proof of an actual round table or Arthur. but Arthur was set in a time were English believed in God so he would have been religious if he had existed.
