Does regence blue shield of Idaho cover bariatric surgery?

To my knowledge none of the individual policies offered by Regence BlueShield of Idaho cover this surgery. There are large companies that have their health insurance through RBSI that have this benefit, but they are very limited and of course only available to eligible employees of those companies. The surgery is very expensive and should only be looked to as a last resort after all other methods of weight loss have been exhausted.
