What are barriers to effective communication can affect decsion making in an organization?

Main types of barriers to effective communications: psychological, physiological, social and structural. Besides noise (or interference) and context (time and place) there is many other factors to be aware of, such as: language, perceptions and prejudice, stereotyping, complexity of a message, poor listening skills, lack of feedback and inadequate background knowledge.
In addition to above mentioned: cultural, traditional and theological beliefs, presumptions, assumptions, apprehension, lack of competence, among others.
