What company purchased Aurora Casket Co?

In 2012, Aurora casket company, which had been founded in 1890 by Colonel John Backman in Aurora (IN), and which had been controlled since then by the Backman and Barrott families, was sold to the New York based private equity firm Kohlberg & Company. In addition to the metal casket manufacturer Aurora, the company included two other firms: 1997 Aurora had acquired the urn and marker manufacturer Meierjohan-Wengler out of Cincinnati and in 2000 the hardwood manufacturer Clarksburg Casket Company of Clarksburg, West Virgina.
