How many 0.25mg alprazolam does it take to replace 1mg lorazepam?

That depends, how much xanax are you trying to equate it to? In my experience with both of these meds, I like lorazepan better. Xanax tends to make me to tired(even at its lowest dose of .5mg). They are in the same family of drugs and are used for the same reasons. They only differ in their medical properties(recipes). I would also suggest talking to your doctor to find which one works best for your condition and which dose to take it at. There are several meds in this particular classification. Some narcotic some not. Not that it has any thing to do with your question but I always like to make mention of it when I am on the subject of xanax..... Xanax and alcohol is a lethal combination.
