How can you clean mildew off painted surfaces?

Mix 1 cup of liquid laundry bleach with 2 quarts of water. Add about 2 tablespoons of a powdered cleanser containing trisodium phosphate. Scrub on the mixture, allow it to dry on the surface and rinse it off throughly with lots of plain water. When dry, repaint as soon as possible.
