To be a good contributor to the category of History, the study of the following periods of history will enable a contributor to make accurate and concise answers to various questions posed. Here are some examples that will aid anyone working on history questions:

1. Study ancient history. So often the history of ancient civilizations and empires, can be related to current events of the present time;

2. Study history of the Middle Ages. This was the so-called dark era in Europe however, some of its characteristics can be found in the period known as the Renaissance;

3. Study the history of various periods in the Far East, especially China and in the sub continent of India. Their cultures, historical events, and interactions with Europe shed light on the upcoming period of European colonialism;

4. The New World. This has to be an area in history, with a good deal of documentation, that was an earth shaking period of history. Dozens of new nations were formed. New ideas, often drawn form ancient Greek & Roman history come into play;

5. The Colonial era. This period of time shaped the world as European powers gained territory, wealth and subjugated under developed nations; and

6. The 20th century. What the world looks like now is to a large part of the history of the 20th century.
