Why do we experience night and day on earth?

We experience night and day on Earth due to its rotation on its axis. As Earth rotates, different parts of the planet are either facing towards the Sun (daytime) or away from the Sun (nighttime). This rotation creates a cycle of approximately 24 hours, giving us our day and night.
