How do you do a 'Factory reset' on an iPod Touch?

You press the HOME BUTTON + SHUT DOWN BUTTON at the same time and hold until your iPod turns off and an Apple symbol pops out. (it may take few seconds) Then you will have to connect your iPod to your computer (with iTunes on it). Download the new software and follow the instructions.
