Where were monsoons originated?

The Word monsoon comes from the Arabic Word â??Mawsinâ??, which means season. The monsoon season is technically the windy and rainy season, but it is more than that, because the monsoon rains are what bring life to places such as India that would be nearly lifeless deserts without them.
