What is the green stuff in your hamsters water bottle?

Ok,It's most likely algea(The stuff that is in ponds fishtanks and other bodies of water) ok NOT GOOD that means that you are not thoroughly cleaning out your hammies water bottle once a day so clean it as soon as possible and if your hammie appears to have any problems ask a vet ok?
