What was the cause of death of Sunset Carson?

My original response was pancreatic cancer- I had read several news ideas about this illness before his death. The LA Times listed "heart attack." The IMDB writeup mentions abdominal cancer in 1980, followed by surgery. Sunset died May 1, 1990.
