Why is carbonation greater in cold climates?

Cold water is able to absorb more carbon dioxide than warmer water . This means that in cold climates rain water dissolves more carbon dioxide from the air . The carbonic acids that form warm climates are stronger than the carbonic acids they form in warm climates . These stronger acids can cause more rapid carbonation . Carbonation is therefore greater in colder climates .
