Do writers work at home or in an office?

Writers can write anywhere they want and if it is part of their work, then the office would be an appropriate place. Some writers write from home but some writers may just write down some notes when a great idea or thought comes to their mind, thus quick notes anywhere really are quite fine. I wrote a book from home but took a note book everywhere with me for when I had good idea or thought to write about.
