If a pigeon sits or sleeps on your roof at night over where you sleep unafraid of you walking up to it - is this an omen?

I would say it's a good sign, a sign of peace to come. Pigeons are doves, and doves symbolize purity, peace, and in Christianity the Holy Spirit.
