Solid surface is plastic resins and ATH (a hydrate of aluminum powder). Quartz is solid surface and quartz chips. Granite is anything they dig out of the ground and want to sell you.

Solid surface can be repaired, doesn't stain, the sinks are seamless,and the seams are usually invisible. And it has a warranty.
