How does kick-starter come off shaft on 92 Suzuki DR350?

Well, I just took mine off, though it stalled me for a couple of days (I'm busy teaching University classes in Korea). I just applied a claw hammer and crowbar. I have a 93 DR 350, should be identical. Matthew.
