Who are annunaki?

Annunaki are the gods spoken of in Genesis. According to Zecharia Sitchen, via Sumarian clay tablets, they created Human by hybridizing Homo erectus with Annunaki females to create "Adamu" to mine gold for them. There is incredible scientific detail spoken of in his book, which was published WAY before we know what the other planets were like, what gold does to the atmosphere, and how hybridization could be perfected. All of which are described in Genesis Revisited. Great book.
