Does Berrynose still love Honeyfern

The book wasn't very clear whether Honeyfern and Berrynose were actually mates or not, but by the way they were acting shortly before Honeyfern died, I would assume they were mates.

Honeyfern died when she saved a kit from being bitten by a snake and got bitten herself. There was no way to help Honeyfern, so she died.

Also, Berrynose did mate with Poppyfrost, and they had a litter of two kits named Cherrykit and Molekit.
