Why psychology is important in understanding human behaviour?

Psychology is a reasonable and scientifically organized man-made schema to understand human behavior, based on observation over time. The Bible tells us that the heart of man is indescribably wicked (that's a paraphrase - please look it up or google it on Bible Gateway). Psychology has not disproved this fact.
