Why should you be well-mannered?

It helps to preserve civilized behavior in all social interactions. Don't presume on the love of your family to excuse rudeness. If you do forget youself occasionally [we all do ] apologize and ask for their forgiveness . Never , EVER be rude to clerks, waitstaff etc. as they cannot do anything but tolerate it as their jobs may depend on it. This goes for household staff as well, if are fortunate enough to have any. Be considerate and polite and they will serve you more gladly.Remember, even a maid is a professional if she does her job well ,and is worthy of your respect.

Manners are free and will ease all your social interactions when practiced sincerely . Without civilized behavior, we would descend into anarchy.
