What type of software maintains a computer?

You must specify which kind of management you are looking for your programs.

You must also specify which kind of program. All programs, a particular program, etc. For instance, I have 80 programs of all kinds in my computer, and I needn't any program to manage them, they work by themselves. But I can mention an updating program to keep all of them updated.
