How did Hercules capture the erymanthian boar?

He got it out of its lair by making loud sounds. Then he chased it to a snowy mountain. When the boars feet sunk in the snow, Hercules was able to catch and subdue it. Then he brought it back to Eurystheus who hid in a urn at the sight of the boar.
