Were the greek gods immortal from birth or is it only because they drink ambrosia?

They were immortal from birth. For example when Kronos ate his children Hades and Poseidon, they were able to still fully grow while in Kronos's stomach, since they can never die. Both greek gods and titans were considered immortal.
