When buying bulk beads what is the difference of those strung on red or white string?

normally, it's just if the beads have been dyed on the strand or off. if its on a white strand, it means that the beads have been coloured idividually, but if they are on a coloured strand, it means that they have been coloured togeather, on that strand.
