In what ways did Native Americans resist European influence?

They fought, they killed and burned and did whatever they could to discourage expansion. Unfortunately for them there were many more Europeans (white people) than Indians and a large portion of the Europeans were poor and looking for land and a way to improve their lives. They simply kept coming and slowly pushed the Indians away in front of them.
