Is the Nike Vomero 7 good for walking?

The Vomero 7 appears to be geared towards runners. However I'm sure that they would work fine as a walking shoe. One complaint that I've found is that they wear down rather quickly. This was from a heavy runner though. If you are only walking I'm sure they would stand the test of time better.
