Is 3.8 greater than 3.08

The simple answer is yes. if you can't work out why i'll tell you why. it all has to do with decimal placing. So on the positive side you have the ones tens hundreds and so forth, but it is the oppisite on the other side. in goes tenths hundredths and thousandths and so forth. so to work it out you put them in their order of dicimal place. and voila! you can work it out!
