How do you remove the front seat from a 1970 volkswagen?

move the seat as far as it will go to the front of the vehicle. Then their is a tab on the inside track, near the center hump, using a screwdriver, carefully and lightly pry it out towards the center hump to allow the cogs on the seat track to pass the stop on the pan track while holding your seat movement adjuster up. I recommend 2 people. Simple
