What is the difference between exploration an colonization?

The difference between both Words isn't a big deal because its just Words. The governments might call human invasion of the withe whatever they want but its still the same thing. In the 19 century we called it colonization because the withe people have flags and they put flags all over world. In 21 century they call it exploration, but its still colonization. Now we go to north pole and we have military exercise there every year and we call it exploration, but we just go there (withe people Russia, USA and other) and put a flag on the melting ice. Is there really a difference between those Words or its the new Word for modern slavery which probably is the worst we see in our human world history.
