Was Hamburg destroyed by World War 2 bombing?

Practically, yes. But one cant entirely destroy a city, even if nukes are used. The buildings may vanish - as they did in the Hamburg bombings, but much of the infrastructure remains, including roads, and underground sanitation installations etc.
