A mountain is a high land mass with a sharply slpoing surface.It is considerably higher than surrounding areas.They usually occur in chains or ranges extending for hundreds of kilometers.eg-Rockies in North Amreica, Alps in Europe, Andes in South America, Himalayas in Asia.
